In a fast-evolving world, we at HENLOR Foundation Corporation—a federally recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in St. Louis, MO—understand the importance of uplifting all teenage males and young adult men to be the change America needs for continued growth and development. We pride ourselves in running one of the only national Black male pageant systems that offers scholarships and other incentives to deserving youth and adult males. Our Vision

To create a pathway for young Black men to attain greater heights personally and professionally.


Our Mission

To provide male role models for young Black men by shining a light on cultural enrichment, leadership, entrepreneurship, and mentorship as well as social and community services.


Our mission and purpose are aligned to help each titleholder visibly promote his platform of service and courageously journey towards reaching his highest potential. We are consistently humbled by our efforts to build a broad coalition of supporters who help break barriers and clear pathways to actualize this institutional undertaking.


Our organization works throughout the year to provide community service through our state and national titleholders and volunteers. HENLOR Foundation Corporation thrives in experiences involving impactful, collaborative exchanges with organizations that share similar interests.

Meet HENLOR Foundation Board Members

Duwanna D. Ellis

Duwanna D. Ellis is a native of Chicago, Illinois. Immediately upon graduating from high school she joined the army and “became all she could be.” She proudly served our nation for twenty-two (22) years as a master logistician. During her tenure she was stationed at seven (7) state-side tours and three (3) overseas tours, which contributed greatly to her diverse set of skills and cultural awareness. Her passion as a master logistician and her “still serving attitude,” offered her the opportunity to work as a supervisor with the department of defense for twelve (12) additional years. Furthermore, she received several meritorious awards, numerous certifications of appreciation, and accolades for her exemplary performance. Ms. Ellis’s passion for knowledge led her to pursue a higher level of education in obtaining her Master of Science degree in Management w/ a specialty in Leadership and Effective Organization Skills at Troy University, Columbus, GA (satellite).


Ms. Ellis had always wanted to be someone that exemplified quality characteristic’s that her legacy could be proud of for generations to come. She knew that there were life choices that would allow her to give back to her community, setting the tone for a lifetime of sisterhood, community service, social awareness, and philanthropy. She simultaneously pledged ‘The Divine 9,” Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. and Sigma Phi Psi Military Sorority, Inc., the first (1st)) military Greek letter organization, “congressionally recognized.” When called to action, she became a charter member of the International African American Museum. Her alignment with the vision of equal rights for all individuals and disadvantaged youths with educational opportunities through scholarships and internships led her to become a member of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) and a board member of the Missouri Legislative Black Caucus Foundation, Inc. (MLBCF).
