BOOK MISTER JUNETEENTH -IMARION GRIFFIN

Book Mister Juneteenth

Imarion Griffin was born and raised in St. Louis, MO. He was baptized at five months St. Alphonsus Rock Church under the leadership of Father Maurice Nutt. He attended Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Elementary School from 3rd grade until 8th grade. He is currently a Cardinal Ritter College Prep high school senior with a 3.8-3.9 GPA. He participates in the National Honor Society, Movement not Moment, Brotherhood, and UMSL Bridge Program, and is the Student Ambassador on the basketball, soccer, and track teams. He is the youngest of three children. In Imarion’s free time, he enjoys reading, cooking, singing, dancing, and making TikTok videos but mostly enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He has beat many odds–in 2019, Imarion was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease that causes his immune system to attack his body. He spent months in and out of the hospital for four years. Imarion put his Faith in God and never looked back. Imarion’s favorite quote is “God is my today and my tomorrow.” His goal is to play basketball while pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and wants to become a Physical Therapist. His goal is to open a gym for kids ages 5–17, with a study area and quiet zone (so students can study before and after practice), a food court, a pediatrician, a physical therapist, and teachers on staff.
